Topography Globes If you're interested in studying the world's topography — mountains, valleys, glaciers, etc. — you'll be happiest with a globe with raised relief, which puts the sight and feel of the world's surface in your hands. Keep in mind that these globes may not feature political boundaries to mark countries, states, etc, although illuminated globes can match physical/political boundaries to on/off settings and give you two globes in one.
